Loud exhaust, why??

i have a twin swuaure exhaust and its so loud inside the car espessialy in low gears at low revs and high gears at high revs( like motorway driving) why is it so loud?? and what can i do to prevent it

Replace it with a standard one...

it'll be due to the silencers - all of these performance exhausts are straight-through these days but the size of the silencer boxes varies, as does the quality and quantity of the sound-absorbing material they're packed with

you're going to have to ditch the exhaust for a quieter one unless you want to go to the hassle of cutting the boxes open to re-stuff them

Take it back to where u got it and ask them for a centre section, is ur car decated if so put ur cat back in.

Put some sound deadening material in the boot and rear quarters behind the panels and under the carpet. Helps A LOT!

mines is the exact same..bought the car with a massive tin can, decided to change it just recently, was "custom" so the garage asked me if i wanted it loud or standard, chose standard obviously n its practically the same noise now as what it was before!
