Loud fan?

Car  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Only recently done this, but when my engine is on, and i have my a/c on aswell.... now and then the fan goes really loud.... then goes quiet again.... then the fan goes really loud after a while

Why is this?

because its speeding up and slowing down,, speeds up when it gets too hot slows down when it cools down

Would it be due to the hot weather that i've only recently noticed it?... or is it coz i never really noticed it before?

bit of both,, aircon massively increases engine temps especially so on the 1.2 as the aircon condenser is built in to the radiator.. hence why fan runs on slow speed permenantly with ac on untill temps rise

assuming it is just the sound of the fan on fast speed, then all i can suggest is councelling if you are embarresed by it..

suppose you could video it just incase it is a dodgey noise

I'll get a video up tomorrow :)

Forgot to take a video, but noticed when its loud its when the radiator fan turns on, and when it goes quiet, its when its turned off..

But why is it so loud!!! :S

i'll have a gander the weekend

any fan that you put in an enclosed housing and spin at those sort of speeds is going to be loud

you should hear bmw's with the electronic viscous fans on them when they cut in you cant even hear the engine over it
