Loud Humming noise from 30mph onwards?

I recently brought a '02 1.2 16v Extreme. In the last few days its begun to make a loud humming noise from about 30mph onwards, anything like turning the car from left to right, or putting the car into neutral doesn't stop the noise in any way at all. It sounds like its coming from the front left side of the car, anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? :S

Wheel bearing.

as said its almost defo the wheel bearing. cost ya about £50 to get fixed

Yeah - worse case scenaio wheel comes off which is never good!

depends how bad it is ie how loud teh huming is and if there is ay play in steering. my rear left one went and didnt fix it for a good few months but wouldnt recommend it. if u can fix it now then do it before you cause further damage

Well atm the steering is absolutely fine, but I'll ring my local mechanic and get him to look at it within the next week or two, thanks a lot guys!
