I've just popped out at lunchtime to pick up something for my bro, and on the way back, this wierd whirring vibration started.
It seems to be coming from the rear nearside of the car, and at first I thought it was a wheel bearing gone, but it only happens with the engine at 2.5k-3k. If I accelerate past this, it disappears, and then when I let off the throttle, when it gets to about 3k it starts and gets quite loud, until the engine is below 2k and it goes again.
It's quite a loud resonating noise. Like a badly blowing exhaust I suppose.
My local garage is going to have a look at it tomorrow morning at 8.30, but it would be good to have an idea at what it could be.
