..does it make every tosser near where I live want a piece of the action?

Today, going to work which is a half hour drive at 6.30am a Fiesta ST and Hyundai Coupe are trying their best to get a race.

Firstly, it's far too early for any of that pi$h and secondly, what are they trying to prove?

The ST was up my a$$ for a good 10 mins and I let him passed and tried to show him (and her) I was laughing at his sh1tty white stripes. The Hyundai was a different matter. Got very annoyed and had to drop him - first at lights and then on the motorway. They are terrible performance wise. 2.7 V6 - what's the point in that engine?

I try my best not to get involved in thses situations but I had to respond today. It was kinda fun but I'll probably be the one getting caught.

I had the same when I had my TVR.
I just used to think that my rear bumper was a W***er magnet. I'd usually allow them the privelege to pass so they could think they actually did it on performance rather than screwing their cars in actually trying. Great fun because I knew I had nothing to prove .... unless it was a Lambo or Aston etc. then I'd have no choice but to move over graciously

Tonight sitting at lights a skyline pulled up next to me and started revving.
One of the ones with the loud exhausts and a shopping list of tuning companies on the door.
Look over and the "rude boi" at the wheel signals for a race.

Absolutely pointless.
Trying to prove to his fellow "rude boi" passenger than his skyline can beat a clio? Not exactly much of a contest.

But, i thought i was as well just to see how they compare and surprisingly the 182 did much better than i would have thought.
He was terrible off the lights so i was atleast 1 and half to 2 car lengths ahead to start but then he zoomed past, though it took him longer to catch than i thought.
Noise from the engine as it went past was incredible. Made the whole thing worth it.

lol yeah I get this s**t everyday/night...

Had some chopper in some old rover gti last night, car full of 15year old school girls... ohh dear.

Being two sets of lights, the first I just let it go... seeing all the kiddies turning round in the back, must have thought 'we done him'...woo panty dropping time.

Next set, argh what the hell, 1st, 2nd...job done.

I just get so bored of these kids in there 1.1 polo's etc...seriously why do they bother??? lol

I never did back in my old 1.4RT days.

Tee hee... I beat one of those in my old 306 DTurbo! He was NOT happy and ended up very very nearly binning it after going on to a roundabout far too fast. I'd slowed off for the turn cos I'd proved my point, but they never learn, do they? They always have to come past once you slow off. It's as if they've finally proved once and for all that they've got the faster car. *sigh*

That would work but I bought the Cup because that's the car I wanted. I might have to mod it with some James Bond $hit. Oil slick, smoke screen etc.
