Low engine temp??

Picked up a Clio 172 cup last night and the temperature gauge won't go above 1/4
I drove 100 miles solid and didn't go any higher
I left it idle for a good 30 min and still didn't go up much more..
It's a pain as it's limiting at 6500 instead of 7600 and feel soo underpowered..
Its good a full set of forged silicone coolant hoses if that makes any difference :s.
Any help would be greatful.

Mine isn't as bad as that but has been sitting a 1-1/2 bar lower than the middle recently. Could this be due to the colder weather?

Just seen a thread that says the thermo stat can just suddenly brake with very cold weather. Which I have had the last few days.. I'm going to try that first..

No mate not really. Worth probly doin temp sender same time too

What't the temp sender? Any guides on how to change these?
