Low MPG

I get about 19 - 22 mpg is that any good for a 172 cup ! I'm not clued up on cars so !
I put a new lamba sensor on a couple of months ago but the lights come back on again ! Could that be the issue?

Rear lambda doesn't do anything fueling wise.

Do you redline it everywhere you go?

What mpg do you get on the motorway at 70? Anything less than 40 would be worrying.

I do a short 10 min drive back and for to work and average 28-32 so ur mpg is shocking

That's bad. You'd get that on a track day, thrashing around all day.

Something's wrong there. Is that what the computer is telling you, have you worked out manually just to check??

have you worked the mpg out rather than using the dash? they don't seem to be that far off normally though. is it mapped?

I get 28mpg max on the dual carriageway at 70mph.
But my car needs a thermostat.

Does it get up to temp?

Until we get more info it's going to be hard to advise. As you mentioned the engine light is on it will be best to start there.
