Low pitch squeal comming from driver side of my 1.2 16v Dynamique. It only comes on randomly normally after braking sharp or turning the wheel sharp. The noise stops for a few seconds when i turn the wheel slightly and sometimes stops when i tap the brake.
Any ideas?

Thanks
Carl

yeah sounds like a dry metal noise if that makes any sense lol

I have this too I think.

Mind sound like something quite like spinning around and just rubbing against another metal surface. It seems to happen when I depress the clutch but maybe thats just because the engine quitens so I can hear the noise.

as seens as it metal sounding, sounds like something could need lubricating, take your wheel off and copper grease everything that has a moving part, and try that

Take the pads out and look at the shims spin the disc with your hand as well and just move the shims with a screwdriver.

Ahhh right this is going to be hard to explain. When you took your pads out were there metel spacers at either end of the pad? They should clip on to the carrier

If pads have only just been changed its just brake squeal
can try to combat it by putting copperslip on the back of the pads were it mates with the piston and caliper but it dosn't rend to help much, best way is to buy pads with the anti squeal pad stuck on the backs
