I've been diagnosing an annoying drive belt squeal that I've had for the past week and I've noticed that my lower alternator bolt is missing completely!? I'm guessing it's worked loose and just dropped out at some point.
As a result the alternator isn't as secure as it should be and the drive belt does feel somewhat more slacker then it should be (causing the squeal im guessing), I think I should consider myself lucky that it didn't throw the belt off and cause me even more grief.
Main question is, what size bolt do I need to replace it. Without the original to hand I have nothing to measure. I'm guessing roughly M8x60mm?
