172 Alternator removal -lower bolt question

Removed the short upper and the long lower bolt from a 2001 172 and the alternator pivots but does not come out. It looks like there is a sleeve which the long bolt goes through that is holding the alternator and lower bracket together.

All guides indicate it should be free but it rocks freely but wont let go.

Are there sleeves or is it just 105k miles of friction?

Pull it harder / use a hammer. Only two bolts hold the alternator on.
