Lowering 172 cup

My car is currently sitting on 17" alloys which came with the car, I can now afford to take these down to 16", i've decided to go with Monza White. I'm also going to lower it at the same time, i can't afford coilovers at the moment. Was just wondering what springs / how low i should go taking into account the 16" alloys.
