Lowering 60mm what shockers to get?!

  Renault Clio 1.2
I've got a 182 replica and picked the alloys up last night and got them all fitted, part from it's stuck right up in the air haha! im thinking about lowing it by 60mm and heard that it's best to get new shockers. what shockers does everyone recommend? Also will 60mm be low enough due to the weight of the engine since it's only a 1.2 not a 2.0?

thanks a lot,
Alex

60mm will be fine. I would look into koni shocks personaly, but Apex do a shortened shock iirc which are a fair bit cheaper.

Have you not looked into raceland coilovers?

  182/RS2/ Turbo/Mk1
Raceland do seem to be the shocker of choice for chavs looking to make their cars look "well lo init blud" on a budget.

i've lowered mine ( 1.2 ) 60mm on fk high tec springs and shocks, the shocks i got from tuning-parts.co.uk ( fk direct site ) and cost me around 57 quid delivered as they were on offer, they still are atm.

I find the ride is really great, it holds the road really well and is not too much stiffer than standard i found ( of course its firmer but no where near as bad as i expected it to be )

Is that for both springs and shocks or for one?

That was for 4 shocks, 2 front, 2 back. i bought the springs before hand but they are cheap on the site too

Been looking into getting my car lowered another 20mm as im on 40mm at the moment and want it lower but wanted better shocks with it and not standards are mine seem like they are about dead now anyways so may aswell get new :)
