LOWERING A CLIO

alrite i need some help in lowering my car. its a 1998 1.4 rt clio 3 door and i wanted to lower it but not sure how much. i have 17" boss alloys which will proberly be a problem. i was just wondering if anyone knows a website with step by step information on how to do it your self. cheers

Get the Haynes moddign guide tio the clio, they had step by step guides.

How much modding of the arches did it take to get the 17s on? Any rubbing?

nah theres no rubbing at all they fit really nice but am a bit scared if i lower it it might start to rub. i think the tires make a difference as there falken and are shaped diferently. it is a mk2 clio by the way

If its mk2 then it aint a rt!

Thats why the wheel fit so well, the mk1s have 13" wheels as standard on the RTs

it is an rt it sayes along the side of the door. im not sure if you getting mixed up with mk1 and mk2 but i have the new shaped clio

you can get a clio 2 phase 1 rt.springs all round on the clio 2 so simply a case of fitting new springs which is easy.you need some spring clamps for the front springs though.

Lunner they did do an RT in the new shape!!

You can lower a new shape 1998 onwards clio 60mm on 17s no problem (dependant on offset, needs to be as close to ET 37 as possible)

cheers fred your the only one on here who knows what hes talking about. i supose if you lower it 60mm mate wont be getting in the back then.
