i'd do it yourself, if you're confident, pretty straight forward job on a mk1. depends if you have the tools. all u need is axle stands, trolley jack, torque wrench, spring compressors and a haynes. need to jimmy up a tool for the rear torsion bar, but that's straight forward enough.
if you're confident, and wanna mess with ur car, and lets be fair, mk1's are the easiest to fiddle with, i'd invest in those tools if you haven't got them. best part of owning a mk1 is taking it apart all the time.
