lowering help

i just bought a phase 3 mark 1 clio sport 1.4, sounds poncy but its only an rt!ive got a set of 15 oz superleggars but they are 7inchs wide with 45 profiles on.ive bin told that u cant lower it cos the wheels are too wide cos i had them on my old clio but i had 50s on there then.

is this true has anyone got any kind of pictures i only want 40mm drop all round on a suspension kit (apex) but i dont want no rubbin!

i need to see wot it will look like cheers

get ur fatest m8s to pile in and see if it rubs, wiht 3 fat m8s in the bck of mine it went down a good 60mm, gives you some idea of what it will be like lowered

I got a 1.4rt too with some 15" OZHydras (195/45 - Tyres) also 7" wide - lowered 40mm on the front and about 50mm on the back! And i have no rubbing unless i have a car load and goin over big speedbumps!

so whats the offset on ur wheels then mate cos i mite have been sold the wrong ones? your car looks wikid i wanted a grey one cos they always look clean but settled for a monaco blue!

ive actually got no idea what the offset is - just phoned up Fast Fwd Motorsport and asked for a set of Hydras for a Mk1 phase 3 clio!!! - sorry mate!

Looks really shiny when ive cleaned it! Problem with the winter means i wash the car on sunday and its dirty monday night! lol!! ah well!!

BTW monaco blue is a nice colour - if be tempted with a williams look a like!!

im sure it ET42 for a mk1 clio, i have 15" Oz Titans, they are 7" too, and the rear wheels are a good inch inside the rear arches when i have a car full of m8s and i have no rubbing.

The way offset works, the higher the figure, the nearer they are to the car, ie the less they stick out. best thing to do it, lower the torsion bar and see how it is, if its ok fit the shocks

yeah i thought about doin that but ive already got lexus lights oz wheels n other stuff for it!ive had it a week n have drove it once cos ive gotta sell my other clio 1.2 black p plate.its so frustrating ive gotta find an insurance company what likes lowering.im just gonna go bb tuning and get the work done ive had a peco exhaust on my old car dunno whether to get another one or not!

have u got any good ideas where to get direct replacement front fog lights from other than expensive renault?
