***LOWERING MY MK1 CLIO***

right, in a couple of weeks im going to lower my clio. its going to have a set of 15" either willy wheels or ph2s.

what tools am i going to need? (for doing front, and back torsion bar)

what am i going to need to buy (bearing in mind i dont want to buy adjustables)

and last but not least where can i get the best deal for the bits im going to need to buy?????

how far does one notch take it down??

Depends. I think this One notch, two notches thing is a bit false..

You take it to where you want it, and then try and get the bar in at the nearest point.

ull need spring clamps for the front suspension, careful with them tho.

definetly be careful - they have a habit of launching compressed springs jaw-wards - removing most teeth and bone in the area.

realistically is a complete novice like me going to be able to do this sort of job??? if not how much am i looking at for a garage to do it and can anyone reccomend anyone in the hants/surrey border area???

Buy the Haynes modding guide for the clio, they show you step buy step wiht pics. Im a complete novice, learning as i go, am planning to do mine in the next motnh or so (funds permitting), im gonna stick springs on the front for now and then buy dampers seperatly at a later date.

i lowered mine 35mm at the front on standard shocks, and there fine! no scrubbing with my 16s either!!

i lowered my valver 50mm at the front and gonna go to notchs on the back got standard rims on
