Lowering on Springs

  Clio 1.4 16v
Hi all, need some advice

Only wanting to keep my car for a few months more so I wan't a cheap option of lowering it. I could save and get coilies but it would be totally pointless as I will be selling the car

Is it pretty safe to lower the car with just springs and the standard dampers? Many people have said this is a bad option but I only need it for a few months, maximum years time. Is there any chance of problems within that time space?

If springs are an OK option could somebody also recommend me some decent/cheap ones with 40-60 mm lowering

well... i have been running mine on standard dampers for 2 month, its -60mm lower on front, and the torsion bar about the same on the back... my dampers are 12 years old.. and cope fine!...

youre should be ok.. -40mm apex on a mk2 will be fine mate with normal damping
