lowering passenger seat

i'd like to lower the standard\passenger seat in my 172, the drivers has height adjustment-yeh-but passengers are just way up-wondering if anyones got any ideas/experience?

Yeah i was thinking the same, i was considering taking the hydraulics and seat sub frames etc from my old drivers seat and changing it over to the passenger side, dont know if it would work

The other option would be to source a european clio and get the drivers subframe from that and swap it with the passenger one on yours. Hardest bit would probably be sourcing one.

euro option is well pro-great idea gives all the adjustability

but just cant see it happening.

i was hoping there was a simple remove, cut/drill & refix in lower position. Think i'll look at removing the seat over weekend.

dont think you will be able to cut it to lower it but i might be wrong, let me know how it goes, i want to lower it but it hasnt got to the stage where i'm going to cut the sub frame, keep me informed, thanks

euro seats a good idea, just wondering why you would want to lower it?
