Lowering springs help/advice

Car  (s)Low Dynamique
Hi guys, it's my birthday coming up this month and I've told the parents I want my car lowering. Obviously springs are much cheaper than coilovers, but what I'm unsure on, is how low is safe to go on springs if I'm still using standard shocks?

See I'd like some 60mm springs but I just wanted some advice. Also, what brands are recommended and what brands should I steer clear of?

Many thanks in advance!

(On a side note, as soon as I turn 18 my paypal gets unbanned, so I can finally purchase my ClioSport membership!!)

if your going for springs then 60mm is all i would lower on standard shocks. i have a set of coilovers for sale if you are interested pm me mate.

Eibach sportlines. Subtle drop, won't break your teeth on speedbumps and fab price for the quality.
Avoid Apex like a fat bird with the clap!
Sorted
Close thread ;) he he

im using fk automotive springs mate on my standard shocks... 40mm drop... 60 odd euros.... sorted

ride is sound... handling is sound.....

this thread could get exciting.

Id say 60mm is too much on standard shocks, thats just my opinion though.

I have Apex 40mm on mine and honestly dont see what peoples big deal is with them!

My friend has his lowered 40mm on springs, all though it looks really smart it isn't all that noticeable! I'm really considering 60mm springs but I'm still unsure as to whether or not it will be ok on standard shocks haha.

Thanks for the help and opinions anyway guys :)

if you want pure lowering on a budget then the apex will do the trick, from speaking to a friend he doesnt mind the ride on these at all - each to their own

However i have Eibachs on mine and cant fault them
