lowest springs avaliable for 172cup

  MKIII 138
hellooo,

right, ive decided to give coilovers a miss for a while. i also decided not to spend more than £250 on any one thing for my cup unless its only a bit more.. i.e an ecu swap for the R-sport from BBPT.

whats the lowest springs avaliable for the 172cup ? is there a 50mm ?

also i need me some info on the various types and what there like, i know everyone will say 30mm prolines from eibach for progressive handling i.e only really firm when cornering and the spring compresses but i had some sportlines 15/25mm found them to allow a bit too much roll before getting firm, maybe the sportlines will be better as they go lower but the spring rates are the same i think ?

any other good choices out there, + please post pics (can be FF172 also)

cheers

edit* will probably upgrade shocks at a later date

i had some 30mm P.I springs i found them better than the eibach sportlines (15/20mm) but just a tad too hard.

whats best 40mm apex or 30mm eibach ?

  Weeman sucks ****
You'll be lucky to get the drops Eibach claim on a cup. If you want a drop on a 172 cup then Apex is the only route when it comes to springs.

The std 172's & 182's lower more than the cups with the same springs.

Get then side by side and there's a big difference.

as i understand the cup needs 40mm to look same as 30mm on 172 FF is that because the FF are heavier and compress the spring more ?

anyone got any pics of cups lowered on just springs seen as they are different

^ lol...There 80kg more not 800kg. It's a different suspension set up hence the difference in ride height.

40mm Apex is what i've got, soon to be on Eibac dampers.

^ i do know the weights, i was asking as the rear of my car is higher without back seats.

interested in eibach dampers how much they set you back, where you thinkin of getting them from ?

also where you get your apex from ? BBPT do a 40mm set that they claim actually does do 40mm and there yellow but no apex labels, in fact no brand name whasoever ? but they are about a paltry £98

mite be best going for some softy 30mm eibachs then.
