Lumpy bit under Wing Mirror?????

wat is the funny lumpy bit under the wing mirror on me clio i think its only on one of them but if u take the colour coded shell off its got a wire or two attached to it can't work out wat it does exactly????:S

And then a big hole on the other one were renault couldnt be bothered filling in for Uk cars that sometimes whistles lol

Why couldn't they have just filled it or put a dud temp sense in you know like a plug ?? geeze ..

Mine is telling me its constant 50 Degrees, is there anyway of fixing it or do I have to get a new one? If its a new one, is it a whole new mirror?

Not got a clue, unless you live somewhere hot lol take it to reno they should be able to tell you
