weird mines lumpy but thats cuz im always brakin from like a 100 to 10 as quick as poss plus that is abs but i duno why it would be lumpy other wise have u got ne mates or know a mechanic who could take a look? thats what id do
Yeh, ive got a mechanic mate who had a look about a month ago who said that he thought the breaks were fine but i dont trust that too much to be honest. There is also a constant knocking noise as i go oer bumps, even if they are small - which could be a suspension mount although i think perhaps it could be a driveshaft or summert. I think it may become expensive though which is what i need to avoid at all costs!
Unlikely to be warped discs, though many people will lead you to believe this. Probably the pads have left uneven deposits on the disc which makes it uneven and so gives the lumpyness.
I would also check you actually have any pads left
good point rob i managed to drive my old car with no pads for a week and the brakin was like a ford anglia lol stoppin distance from 30 to 0 20 miles lol
Deposits are sometimes visible, sometimes not, but when theyre cool just run your hand over the discs to check for any unevenness.
If your pads are worn youll get that lovely screech of backing plate onto disc, if you look in between your caliper and noticed theyre only a couple of mm thick, its time to replace
