Lumpy idling and acceleration

Experienced this last night, but i thought it was because it was cold, but happen this morning too. And its much warmer than last night.

When im stationary it feels like its shivering, then when i accelrate, its fine up until i change to 3rd gear, then when i fine the biting point and accelerate it feels like its lumpy and choking.

Anyone know whats happening??

u got toxic warnin light on by any chance?

sounds like mine when coils went, really under powered and hates the higher gears, sounds like a diesel and is rough as f*ck.

not sure what car u got mate but 1.6 are known for blowing coils. anything under 1.6 has individual coils, the sports have coil packs.

Yeah, mine does sound like a diesel engine, and its a 1.2.

Aye, sounds like similar symptoms to mine when my HT leads went. I'd check the sparks first though.

Sparks were changed at a recent service...

Just switched my engine on, and popped the bonnet open, and the engine seems to flinch now and then

Mine does the shaky thing every now and again, lumpy idle and the diesel noise on start up.

Was told it was either Lambda sesnor or the coil pack.

1.2 has coil packs too iirc. Isn't it only the K4J (1.4 16v) and K4M (1.6 16v) that have individual ones?

coil pack me thinks, this happened to me about a month ago, felt horrible to drive so i got it fixed asap

New they arent that expensive, Second hand from me is cheaper

Extremely easy to change, unbolt the old one, unclip the wires bolt in new one, put wire into it.

Trying to look for the coil pack fitting on my hayns manual, but i can't find it, what should i be looking for?

Seriously you just have to look at it on the car to work out how to replace it, £25 Inc. Delivery

Its in fine condition, just not new, all works fine obviously. P.s. Haynes Manual 5B.2
