lumpy/misfiring

Ive just gotten a clio 172 rsport on an 02 reg and as the title say it runs slightly lumpy and feels like its misfiring on idle....is this a common problem with these cars....do they tend to run lumpy??and suggestions welcome..

is this only happening from a cold start in the morning ?....or all the time ?

apart from idle how is it running in the rest of the rev range as your driving around

no when the engine is warm it does it too.....seems to be ok whilst driving

mine does it to mate the only way to get rid of it is get a re map

You may hear the misfire if you open the bonnet and listen. I had it when bought mine. At first repalced plugs but the problem not cured. Then repalced plug leads and the misfire ended.
Also, do you feel loose of power at any rpm ?

misfire is more noticeable whne im in the car listening to it.....might change the plugs and leads and go from there.

ive only had the car 1 day so i cant say if ive lost power

A 172 i was in the other day sounded a bit lumpy or "hunting"

Is this common when they are cold?
