Mac - iPhoto query

  Clio 182
How do I copy photos created in iphoto 08 ie from a new imac onto my 3? year old mac with the old version of iPhoto - I didn't expect there to be a problem but it says I have to have the new version (ie £80 isnt it for ilife?) to see them. Is there a way round it?

  A blue one.
just drag the photos from iPhoto into a folder and import them into the old iPhoto.

I'm confused.... :S I've got them on a cd but my iPhoto on my iMac won't even open the cd because they were created in a newer version than I have...

Are they just jpegs? or some sort of album system?

would have thought you could just drag and drop with usb stick or cd

export them from your new mac as jpegs... copy them over to the old one on a cd or using airport... they will be just jpgs and you can then highlight them all and option click and select to open with iPhoto.

I don't have a new mac, someone else put them onto cd for me so I just have a cd I can't access using an older version of iphoto :dapprove: (and I didn't really want to pay for ilife just to update to the newer version of iphoto...)

I can't even see the files, when I put the cd in I get a message saying I have to use the latest version of iphoto to view them and a 'quit' option..
