Iam having a slight problm with my computer bascily sound works in media player and itunes but when i try to stream play somthing from the internet it dont play sound, and also when i try to open stuff in the apple player (such as stuff on my computer in mpeg4) it dont play sounds either

however say thers a link on the internet for a sound/movie file if it opens it in media player and streams it from the computer media player it will play the sound

anyways if any of that made sence to anyone could they please help thankyou

uninstall all media players except windows media player including all codecs... and start again.

dude i download it the files called vlc-0.8.5-win32.7z
when i try to open it,this windows box appers which says

''Windows cannot open this file

File: vlc-0.8.5-win32.7z

to open this file,windows needs to know what program created it. windows can go online to look it up automatically.or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer

What do you want to do?

* Use the web services to find the appropriate program
* Select the program from the list''
