Made the change from Vauxhall to renault : )

  Transit & Death trap
Hi, I'm new to this site, but have been a member on a Vauxhall forum with my previous project and I've now made the leap from a vauxhall to Renault owner. And I can now confirm I am the proud owner of a Black Clio Sport 172, well almost.... I collect it Tuesday next week and can't wait to get started. Pics and full spec/wishlist list to follow shortly;)

Good choice. I'm sure you'll feel a difference straight away. Great colour aswell... not to clean though!

Enjoy your stay. :)

Welcome.

Black Clio. Great colour, even better when clean, which for me is not that often. Enjoy it.

Thanks for the warm welcome peeps. Been looking for a Clio for a while and I really wanted a black one, so I was chuffed when the right one came up... Lets see how long until the novelty wares off and the constant cleaning becomes a chore!!

Welcome mate, what model of vauxhall did you used to have ?
I had a MK3 astra 1.8 sport and converted it to 2L redtop on R1 bike carbs, made 174bhp on the rollers, which aint too shabby considering I rebuilt the engine and done the swap myself and that was my first real attempt at anything that envolved.
Needless to say the handling was beyond shocking, even with a full suspension kit and strut braces:mad:, so I decided to strip it and sell up.

I finally picked up the 172 this Sat' after it needed a new rear spring, shock and two new cv boots(all covered by warranty). It was totally worth the wait though, very impressed by how well it goes and handles as standard.
Sorry the pic isn't the best.
