magane engine transplant

hi need to pick your brain is it possible to put a renult magane 1.6 16v 03 plate in to a renult magane 1.6 16v s plate, and also swap the gearbox, plz help, cheers

They're both the K4M engine so i'd imagine the engine would be quite and easy swap, all i know of is that the older unit uses cable throttle and the new one fly by.

As for the gearbox i cant help you lol.

Is the 03 plate a megane 2?

Unless this megane is a facelift, phase 2, it will not be a 16v. 16v did not appear in the megane until late 99.

Also, the new Megane's have a different intake setup.
