main beam 182/172 xenon

Whats the type of bulb in the main beam of the 182 with xenons, think non xenon models the main beam is H1 but think this may be different in xenon models.

Just want to know so I can order blue vision main beam and sidelights and silver vision front and rear units...

arent they a xenon bulb mate ? you dont wanna replace them with a normal bulb theyll go bang !!

Main beam is a normal bulb - only the dips are H.I.D.

When you order your bulbs be sure to order some new fingers as well.

tbh the main beam dont need changing only the indicator and side lights, main beam is fine as standard on 182 I have found

yeah I heard I will need small hands, still people have done it so will give it a go. Hope no plastic clips break though!

Anyone changed theres then, only reason wanted to change was prefer look of blue vision to normal bulbs, and think it will match the HID ones bettre.

Just wasnt sure if H1 or H7. Whats the discount like with powerbulbs.com (wakefield)been with ClioSport.net?

Hardly worth doing the mains really - its not like anyones going to be looking at them! I managed mine (sidelights & silvervision indicators) after a lot of swearing and bloody fingers Its the sidelights that are the killers. Club members get a double-figure discount from Powerbulbs!

mmm ill think about it then, ive been told by some dealors the main beam bulb is H7 other say its H1.

OK just reading my handbook. Main beam is H7 anti U.V. 55w. It carries a warning that fitting other types of bulb may damage the plastic headlight lenses.
