MAJOR DRIVESHAFT HELP NEEDED!



  Petrol Blue 182.
drivers side, when pulling the thing out it snapped, how do i go about getting the bit out the gearbox? it wont budge atal! is it held in with anything special that i cant see?

ill get some pics up tonite, well what came out the gearbox was 3 circulare shaped things, and theres still a bit left in gear box, so i presume whats left is what goes on the other end of those 3 circle things :S

Im sure the drive shaft is held in by three small bolts. Did you just yank it out or something? You should never have to force a drive shaft out.

pulled it, when i changed the one the other side it slid out no problems, so when i puled this one it snapped, it was fucked anyways

Drivers side may have a roll pin in where the shaft fits into the sleeve on the gearbox which will need knocking out to remove the shaft. Passenger side with the yoke should just be the 3 bolts out the gaitor clamp and pull out, passenger side drops the gearbox oil drivers side doesn't.

I thought a special tool was needed. I had mine done recently and the guy had to buy the tool speciffacly
