manifold removal

Anybody that has done this on a 182. how hard is it? how long does it take?

u got to drop the front sub fame put it that way theres a guide mate have a look

Exhaust mani is a pain on the 182 as its a lot bigger than the 172. Theres a guide in the guides section.

the guide will give you a rough idea, its the same just a bit harder to get the 182 out and in due to space.

roughly....
unbolt 4 subframe bolts, unbolt the gearbox to subframe mount, unbolt the dogbone mount

remove the cat

lower the subframe down on a jack, undo the pinch bolt on the steering columb and the subframe will come down with a bit of a wiggle here and there!

it will need dropped down a lot to get the manifold out but it is possible, keep an eye on the PAS pipes dont want to stretch them!
