manifold work questions

  black 172 phase1
Gday
quick question for someone more expierienced out there i have a phase 1 172 clio sport it has cup badges although i dont think it is a cup they where the first cars to come to australia and they aptly named them after the cups in the uk
None the less its a 2 litre rs engine and im about to match port the manifold does changing the plenum to a 182 item give any gains,
changing to a rs inlet manifold give you any gains or should i just port the current manifolds on the car.
Does swapping any items give benefits or the most gains.
Thanks

Port the ones you have, The 'RS' inlet manifold is only slightly better than the standard one in terms of flow.

more commonly know as "inlet manifold matching" , some like it and some dont .
compiled with other mods are worth doing imo

Dont put a 182 plenum on the bolt spacing is different and you'll probably get an air leak. There would be nothing to gain by swapping plenums anyway.
You may as well just port the one you have as the RS manifold isn't perfect either and after porting theres next to no difference.
Where the manifold joins the head is the worst part of the system but also match where the manifold joins the plenum and the plenum its self.
