Mapped ECU

Hi All,

Been told that, it I fit a new mapped ecu like Gems or Motec, will increase 10 to 15 % bhp, with out any engine mods. As a new ecu and mapping is around £1000, I would like to know if any body has tried this?

I have a mark 2 172 sport and would like to get around 200 bhp...any suggestions?

do you really want to spend all that on ok yes most proabably the 2 best ecus in the world when you can get a normal re map done much cheaper

it doesnt matter if its a 5 quid mappable or a 5 grand mappable ecu, both if set up properly shall yield similar gains.

Also 10 - 15% without any other mods, maybe on a turbo charged car.
