ok, so i've had her now for close to 2 years, not done much to her since the purchase other than services and other consumables, and really was just meant to be a stop gap. Recently i played about with the thought of other cars and looked at a CLK AMG55, an M3 and a cheaper alternative of a (very cheap!) 330Ci.

After a vist to BCA on tuesday i decided, during a convo with my mate who was with me to keep the clio and get it how i want it, spend some money on bits and basically keep the car and purchase another in a year or 2 and have it as a 'toy'. So upto now, parts wise it has been minimal, on collection the exhaust was blowing and the dealer stumped up £300 to replace so i bought a Scorpion RS192 cat back within a week. No other performance related parts have been bought since, and now ive had a set of 2118's fitted today, am on the lookout for a wheel and boss, air filter, splitter and next on the list is going to be some springs.

Anyway, just a couple of pics since i've had the slug...

i know, at present the she's filthy, and sat like a hummer, but now i know for sure i'm keeping it, things will be done. hopefully i'll be able to give her a wash tomorrow (only waxed 2 weeks ago) and get some springs on order soon too. Ill post some pics when she's clean.

Anthracite 2118s = so much win!

As you said, it could do with a bit of lowering. Any other plans? Perhaps some little things to freshen it up? (e.g. silvervisions, 197 style sport badge etc.)

it'll get a tidy up, in the summer i'll look at getting the bumper sorted and painted along with the bonnet (chips). dont think im going to bother with badges, id rather do like for like rather than change for another, though i'll probably change the bulbs at somepoint, and paint the calipers too

still pee'd off i missed out on the 197 F1 wheel, i'll keep my eyes peeled, and although its dirty, will post more when its washed and waxed, because imo, its an epic colour in the sun

work wont have me back in today, so found the part number for a Fabia splitter, ordered and should have that by Wednesday.
took the rear plate lamp fitting off, given it a goon clean and replaced the bulb with an LED one. previous bulb was aborted! it looked silver and the glass crumbled! so thats that one done.
got 2 pieces of 5/8 copper and lifted the exhaust. as you can see in the pics, it was sagging, and thats with new(ish) brackets. it sits ok at the minute (pic to follow) but i'll look at alternative options when the weather picks up a bit and when i've got time.

so far, im liking the ride at the moment, it actually feels better on 15's, and to me anyway, it doesn't look too ​bad sat naturally. although, the springs will come eventually

haha! Rob, there's not a doubt it will, im just saying, it rides well
tbh i could do with a ride/drive of someone's on 15's with a drop just so i know what im letting myself in for, but i will be going down the subtle drop route, no slamming here!

picked up the Fabia splitter on wednesday but the weather has been pants and ive been back in work, so this morning went to my brothers, lifted the front end and got it fitted. also gave her a wash and slicked the tyres.

im beginning to like this car more now ive done a bit and actually want to keep it...
