Matched inlets (Feddback/views)

I would say the RS inlets must vary a great deal in terms of their casting quality, I have RS inlets on mine and they look shockingly bad, I also bought a spare set to have matched and they are RS stamped and they look as bad.
I would take your inlets off and inspect them and see what they are like, you'll be able to see if they are well matched to the gasket.

going from matched to standard rs i saw a loss in peak power but gained torque in the midrange (ie more drivable)

I think its worth it, i made 8 bhp i think. was 167 now 175 bhp.

when i rang jam sport they said they couldnt give me a date when they would have any more matched inlets in stock as people who orderd them wern't sending the old ones back..

Has anyone got a picture of where the rs is stamped on the rs stamped inlets? Took off my fuel rail gaurd last night and got a morror out. Couldnt see anything?

Im getting mine done on Tuesday, i've got a 182 so most probably got the RS stamped inlet (never checked tough!)

Its a mod that i plan to tie together with other mods like zorst + remap in the future. IMO it will be for the best in the long run

Massive difference.. torque hugely improved.

I wasnt expecting anything because of the RS inlets but its DEFFO improved!

It pulls alot harder and carrys on going past 140 pigeons per hour!

Also the trip there average around 32 MPG and coming back made 38 MPG, and thats after a few of the above bursts!

We have started matching peoples own inlets, had a few sets thru the door today which was nice so expect another load to go out the door on thursday.

If i was to do another group buy i would deffinatly charge a bigger surcharge and try and get people to send me their standard units.

Always learn from what you do though mate - I think you are doing a great job at the moment; keep it up. Better to take a little bit more time and get the +ve positive results than rush it and provide cr4p!
