Hi guys,
So, I wasn’t really looking to get back into Clio ownership after a few years away but I do miss having something to tinker with in the garage. I therefore set my sights on another Racing Blue 182 (my 3rd RB and 5th 182 to date). Ideally I wanted one with stripes as I hadn’t had them before.
I was browsing eBay Sunday morning and by 11:30am I was on the train heading the 240 or so miles for East London with a one way ticket in my pocket. I’d spoken to the seller on the phone and he assured me it was a good car. I took the chanse. When I arrived I wasn’t disappointed as the car was as described and we did a deal. I drove it home up the A1 and got home about 9:45pm - long day.
So here she is. A forum car, I’ve seen her on here a good few times previously. Details:
Mileage: 101,000
MOT: 12 months with no advisories
MODs: Eibach Sportline Springs, Scorpion Cat Back with Decat and 3/4 plate
Plus points
Cambelt, Dephaser, Waterpump along with service carried out at Engine Dynamics December 2016 @ 84,441 miles. Comprehensive service history and huge file of previous work and receipts.
It’s recently had new discs and pads front and back as well as all new injectors fitted and a new battery and alternator.
Things that require attention
The stripes were removed and refitted new in 2013 so could do with a refresh. The washer bottle must have a crack as it won’t hold water and the steering wheel is very melted. The bulb has also gone in the clock/display so that needs attention at some point.
It’s sporting budget tyres on the back so once these are worn down I’ll replace them with some decent rubber. Finally, the headlights are slightly faded so I’ll be restoring them.
And where she will live until there’s is a nice dry day..
