Maxi kit

The maxi kit from Prima for the 16v.... any problems fitting it da reckon? Also if i was to get that kit would my wheels need to have spacers or would it look ok without? It the decision between that kit and the k-tec combat? your opinions please.

how do you mean by "any problems fitting it" ? are you fitting it yourself or something? the rear arches need to be cut out and replaced if you call that a problem?

Yes you wheel need spacers, and what size are your alloys at the moment? you will need atleast 18s to full those arches, to make it look right that is. Ask colin_s, he is currently under going a Maxi project. If its done right you will have a smashing looking valver, your looking at £2500 all in to see if through tho (thats ex wheels)

Ive got 17"diablios, mmm cut rear arches out sounds expensive. Maybe the k-tec kit is suddenly looking interesting.lol

i dont want to sound like a bore or anything, but the clio 16v looks the nuts "as is" you dont need a body kit to make it look better, youll end up making you car look tatty ( just MHO tho) The maxi kit is the only kit ive seen that looks good on a clio 16v. The rally MAXI was the nuts, so much so ive got a model MAXI 1/47 that sits on my monitor to remind of what a class performance car should look like.

id say maxi or nothing...

I know the car looks good as it is, but thats just it no one bothers to mod the body, so im gonna make my 16v unique somehow.

ive saw colins maxi clio, its awesome, hes got 18s, its one of the tidiest clios ive ever seen, pearly black paintjob, what a motor, lucky boy!!!!!!

Tiger, cheers for the praise buddy. I would say Maxi all the way, well obviously, but if it wasnt for the Maxi kit i would not have went for a kit at all.

You are talking about £2500 to just get the kit fitted if you dont want any mods done, Ive have the sideskirts smoothed in the arches and a lot more smoothing all over which is extra cash. Then you need some decent spacers which will set you back a couple of hundred if you want to use a 1 piece wheel or you can go for 2/3 piece wheels at £300 ea and you dont need the spacers.



Oh yea and there are loads of problems with fitting!!! Its not easy

Itll not fail buddy, The car is perfect!!! Well might fail for a few things like no front no. plate, no side repeaters, no cat, etc but they can be temp sorted!!!
