Mate you can get the same if not better security for free off the Internet. Waste of cash.

I think PC World have that on special offer at the moment, £24.99, I paid £39.99 the other week.

Yeah I've bought software from ebay. If it's propper cheap it's normally OEM software with no box or manual and should be packaged with an item of hardware.

If it's a stupid price compared to RRP then it's probably pirated and I wouldn't bother as the serial may not work or you may get limited functionality e.g. updates might not work.

Proper serial isnt actually needed :/

But mcaffee isnt worth spending money on.

Which do you prefer to use wozzaa?

I've always been happy with McAfee so generally stick with it for home, plus I can stop my old man surfing p**n with the Privacy service. lol

I used to use AVG and Zonealarm, along with various antispyware apps.

Can't argue about the install probs, I had to make registry changes to get mine sorted.

Not got a virus scanner on currently computer has just gone thorugh a format since i added new hardware always like to format whenever i put a new piece of hardware in. But i was gonna give kaspersky a try. But to be honest i dont generally go on things where i could get viruses from very careful about what i open etc.

Have an old hard drive which hasnt been formatted in around 4 years and its where i save everything to scanned it the other day nothing.

That's still illegal though, if not sold with the original hardware.

ive used probably every internet security program going, and McAfee is the one i liked the best

i was recently using F-Secure but it wouldnt update itself so i had to keep doing it manually which was annoying

currently giving Kaspersky Internet Security 6 Beta a go, seems pretty good so far

We use mcafee enterprise here, about 5 million times better than the kiddies interface you get on the normal one. Never had any major issues, I was wondering why sometimes I had email sending issues, but found the setting in mcaffee yesterday that was causing it to block smtp access. Sanity is restored.

Used to use sophos on the linux email server, but don't bother now. Sophos is pretty good for cmd line stuff, but the interface on the windows version sucked.

We use that here too, we used to use Sophos but that used to be a real pain.

The only problem I've had with the McAfee here has been under XP 64.

lol

Kaspersky seems to keep finding something on my comp but seems unable to deal with it properly which im disappointed with

spose ill have to get McAfee, seemed the only one that could actually do anything with stuff it found, F-Secure was quite good though to be honest

Nortons the worst, you may aswell resign yourself to the fact your machine will become as slow as a 486 as soon as its installed
