Mechanical help before 9:45 please!

Had a level 1 service last Friday and they checked the brakes.
They found the Near side rear brake cylinder was seized and not working so attempted to free it.
The cylinder was freed but has now be leaking for a week, and is getting replaced today.

My problem is, that two people have told me that something will now be contaminated after a week and it should have been able to be freed without causing a leak?

Please could someone confirm where I stand on this.
Cheers, Andy

if the linings are washed properly with brake cleaner and dried off, you wont have a problem. Worst case, you'll need some new brake shoes, but the rears hardly do any work anyway
