Really! Mine are being changed next service, they're only still on cos the wheels have been stored in the garage.

The receipt for it will be in the folder though.

As would my Powerflex. The point is that some 3rd party parts are of a far higher standard than OEM and people do know that and wouldn't be put off by them.
I agree some mods such as a loud exhaust and coilovers might put people off but not things like tyres and mounts...

My mods are only "improvements" Stainless exhaust, but it's almost as quiet as standard, and the powerflex mount.

Might not put you off, but you're forgetting that most people buying a 2nd hand car are really anally retentive. They are looking to find the most standard car they can find. I'm not overly fussed myself as I know I can return something to standard if needs be, other people I know wouldn't touch stuff with things like PowerFlex bushes. I'm aware it's stupid but the buyer is king.

Will have to agree to disagree on this one:eek:.

I completely agree with your point, but other people don't. If I was keeping my 172 forever I'd go to town. But I'm not. I bought it because I saw the car I was after down to a tee, I'm gonna keep her short term and then swap her for (probably) a beemer. I'll be 24 next year, I'm getting on pal! I need comfort.

Hey guys, I just bought a 182 (05 version). I haven't got a clue what the standard version is - where do I find out what the standard spec was.

Its like when the insurance company asks " Does it have any modifications?" I don't know - can anyone help? How do modfications affect the insurance?

Mines pretty much standard, just a full body kit, throttle bodies, roll cage and a magic tree.

being serious the only thing different is a phase 1 airbox...
