Megane 225 Brakes up grade

A mate of mine is selling Megane 225 brakes which are 308 mm discs and calipers...i know they are 5 stud but i know someone who can machine them to 4 stud to fit my 172
But my question is will they fit over my 16 inch wheels?

flol! you need to get caliper to hub brackets because the calipers will not fit onto the 172 hubs, plus getting the discs machined to fit four stud is stupid.and i don't think you're wheels would fit over them either.

waste of time and money imo, overkill and pointless

dont find it a waste of money cause im getting the 2 discs nd th 2 calipers for a 150 quid and on ebay 1 caliper is 150

gray sorry....and my mate was gna put front set up on his newly built z20let corsa but his 15" ats cups dont fit over the discs so he offerd me them for 150 quid..not bought them yet cause a didnt know if they'd fit or not

Ah...I thought they were a little smaller than that. I was going to suggest R21 TXi front discs @ 285mm, with the right 4-stud and spigot. Not worth it though!

The R21 Discs. Bit chunky 4-pots are ALWAYS worth it lol

Look into what you're doing first, I just built a 4-pot, 330mm conversion for my R21 for under £600 (If you dont include the bigger wheels ive had to buy lol). All brand new parts too. Are the Megane calipers radial mount or have they got standard style mounts? If the latter, it'll cause you a headache if its not a straight fit (and when is anything ever a straight fit!?)

I bet that set up makes a big difference?...will im getting the calipers and discs for 150 but theres no mounts..so im going to see a guy about machining me brackets up because i'm not paying 220 pound for the brackets in the link above
