meguiars depp cleaning 3 stage system on metallic cars?

right i need to clean my car and polish the damn thing in the winter. anyway i have swirls on the paint work, because its black it shows up like a b***h,

now searching through the forums, looks like the meguiars 3 stage deep cleaning thingy does the job, but i am concerned about stage1, is this safe for metallic paint as will it cut the lacquer coating?

I used this stuff on my 1.2 - did such a nice job.
Only used it once tho - took too long, haha.
