Menzerna - Need Usage Info

  Skoda Fabia vRS
posted this over on DW and thought i would have some replies pretty quick but nobody has replied yet, so thought id try on here

----------

having always been a fan of the Poorboys SSR's ive decided to see what all the fuss is about when it comes to Menzerna

ive ordered a 250ml bottle of Menzerna Final Finish (PO 106 FA) to test it out

currently i have lake country pads, i have yellow, orange, white, and black

id presume i would use the orange or white with this ?

my car is a Renault Clio which i completely deswirled over a year ago, however i do have quite a few now so it needs doing again, its a K reg but was resprayed over 2 years ago, though i dont think the paint is that tough as i have lots and lots of stone chips on the front of the car

aswell as pad choice, im wondering on technique, with the SSR's i spread with it off briefly, spread around properly on speed 3, then work it around properly on 5/6 then buff off, they work pretty quickly

ive no experience with menzerna so i need a few pointers please

Right mate, with your pads start on the softest and work your way up until you get a good combination. Will be orange or white so try both.

1st application just put a small cross in the centre of the pad to prime it and spread that around on speed 1

4+ x passes on speed 3

4+ x passes on speed 5

Then back down to 2 for 6+ passes to get your LSP finish :)

You will find that the Menzerna takes a while to break down and you get plenty or time to work it in well. Dont be tempted to rush it as you will cause marring.

The more passes you do the better imo

After the 1st application to prime the pad you will only need a bean sized amount for following applications.

Hope this helps

This is not the right or wrong way to do it, it is just what I find works.

After the initial priming of the pad, you need to add very little more product to the pad for additional panels. 4 small dots on the pad about 5 pence sized or smaller are all that you will need.

Depending on the weather and temps outside you can get a shed load of passes out of some of the range. You will know when it is done as it will go translucent and almost clear. I always crank it up to 6 for a good few passes.

There's a million ways of doing it really...I've seen a few pro's do panels in 2-3mins, other spending alot longer. Alot is down to having the right product and pad. Takes me a good while to get the rite combo, always do a test patch...
