merge with BDE?

Hello, I've got a programme on a disk I want to save and run on my laptop. Banged it in, off it goes on install wizard, downloads, but then near the end i get Needs merging with BDE? WTF is that? The programme has downloaded, but wont work properly, get unkown data base errors etc.

Can someone explain (SIMPLY) what i need to do? I presume this BDE is needed to make everything work propely. I'm running W7

Gaz - BDE refers to Borland Database Engine - something which I've had several issues with, years ago.

It sounds like you need a seperate BDE install for Windows 7. There's one on this link. It appears to be free to try and $25 to buy. The download is about halfway down the page....
