Metal paint on plastic??

As log as you use plastic primer first can you use paint designed for metal on plastic???

I take it you mean normal automotive paint, if so, then it depends on what primer you're using - plastic primer for plastic, metal primer for metal. Simple really.

I mean if you primer (obviously using plastic primer), is it then ok to spray paint on top o that using say, a can of Halfords 449?

Yes, plastic prime forst and then any normal car paint will go over the top
