Just installed vista a couple days ago. Have to say I do like the windows key + Tab task switching...what can I say I like the eye candy.

Other than that not noticed much else other than it eating more resources unless you shut aero down and it seems about the same as my XP64 in resource management.

I was only half joking aswell !

I've deleted a recycle bin before (from drives other than the C: XP had created other recycle bins on d: etc) and it showed up in the other recycle bin.. I mean wtf kind of coding is that ?

TBH I don't use my recycle bin anyway. I've been shift+deleting for many a year now. However, when you erase the bin, there is a warning message telling you how to restore it later - not much use later, but a token gesture. Previously I had always had to use TweakUI in XP etc. to remove it, so I welcome this option in Vista :)

Right click recycle bin / properties

tick the checkbox which says

'Do not move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted'

Click ok.

I know ;) But I've always liked having the choice of using shift when I delete data. Not all Windows users are assholes :D ;) But thanks anyway, as most are :D

I always shift + delete as well. For the same reason. 99% of the time the recycle bin is useless so mine is currently hid behind one of the gadgets i am using in vista.
