Mileage clock not working on my dads Laguna94?

Does it fail the MOT if the Mileage Clock is'nt working? as that does'nt work, the clock and temperature display dont work, but it is a 12 year old Renault, Its got its MOT in a weeks time and if it fails its getting scraped my dad said, because theres another problem the steering creeks when you steer all the time any ideas?

as above wont fail providing mileage is different from the last MOT !
