miles left in tank not working

[Rob 1.8 16v]

hi i have a 05 plate 182 i woz running low on fule and the light came on and had no miles left in the tank i put 30 pound in and reset trip but now only on miles left in tank is just flashing even dow i have harf a tank and have done 30 mile ?????????????????

Bit of a long shot but on my dads 182 the miles left wasnt working. After doing the hold the trip computer button down while your turn on the ignition trip and then clearing any of the fault codes it started working again. Worth a try anyway.
