Mirror Switch Melted!!

Found the problem with the issues ive been having..

any solutions? plastic has melted fell onto the wires and now they are bare! .. i was gonna cut the wire and tape them up for now so i can use the heater/radio and interior light again but where can i get a new wire, block and mirror switch from to repair it?/??

Id go an buy a new mirror switch from the scrappy...cut the cable on it as long as possible.

Theres plenty of slack on that so what id do is cut the cable on your old switch as close to first bit of undamaged cable as possible and use some thru crimps to crimp the new switch onto your wiring. Easiest and cheapest way id say.

would it be ok to cut the wires for now and tape them up so i can use the car? I aint going out in it in this weather with no heeater!!! lol

so long as you tape each one individually to avoid them touching one another

^ yeah as said above. tape or if you can lay your hands on some connector blocks then thats a bit better really just try make it so the cables cant fall into the door or else youll have to try and fish them out of there as well lol
