Misfire - Had enough throwing money at it.

Hi,

Hopefully someone can help.

Iv had a misfire for sometime now and changed several things without luck.

The problem is
*Trouble holding its revs for first few seconds on start up.
* Shudder through car all the time at idle.
* EML on all the time.

First codes read 'Catalyctic Converter Malfunction'

Cleared it changed coil pack and after few days said 'Destructive Misfire' and was firing on three cylinders and sounding like a scooby.

Changed the coilpack to a Valeo one and changed the spark plugs and the lights back on and its idling just as bad. Its direct ignition so no HT leads.

What the hell do i do? lambda? TDC sensor? Injector?

Its a 2002 Megane Coupe 2.0 16v VVT F4R.

Please help.

did you change all 4 coils?

Yeah, all 4 changed. Normal ones at first then paid a bit more for decent ones, Valeo.

needs the loom checking to make sure the coils are all being powered/fired properly.

Proper interpretation of live diagnostics data will give more info, fault codes are pretty useless most of the time

I had the same problem changed coil pack all leads upgraded still the same went to see a auto electrion turned out to be a dodgy wire
